Lenovo Legion 5 Pro front

Even though Lenovo is mostly known for its laptops for business, that doesn’t mean that Lenovo can’t create an outstanding gaming laptop. We’ve looked at our experience with the Legion 5 Pro, and we found it to be a fantastic laptop that is able to handle work and gaming tasks efficiently.

In terms of performance The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is the first laptop with the AMD processor rather than an Intel one. Additionally, it has a Ryzen 7 5800H.

This is a 7nm CPU with 16 threads and eight cores that will be ideal for work-related and gaming tasks such as rendering video. It can be paired with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3070 for an incredibly powerful system that is able to handle almost every modern game without issue.

It can also be upgraded to 32GB of RAMsufficient for the majority of modern games and twoTB storage capacity with two SSDs.

Modern games will fill that up pretty quickly in the case of playing lots of them, however this is still quite a bit.

The display is good enough for gamers as well as for productivity tasks. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio, and the sole resolution is Quad HD+, which is 2560 pixels by 1600.

This is more than adequate for displays that big, and you get the 165Hz refresh speed and you’ll get the most of the impressive specs in this device.

It also has support for Dolby Vision, and is approved for DisplayHDR 400 and comes with 500 Nits of brightness, meaning you’ll get a fantastic experience in this.

Although it’s primarily intended to be a gaming laptop, use of a 16:10-sized display makes it ideal for productivity as you can put that much more content onto the display. Compare the price of dell vostro 3480 and Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.

The only downside to this laptop is the webcam, which only supports 1080p and does not come with an IR camera that can be used for Windows Hello.

Actually, the absence of any biometric authentication with this laptop that’s a pity today. The bright side is that those who are concerned about privacy have a switch that disables the webcam, turning it off completely.

For the other aspects of the design, it’s pretty standard configuration for gaming laptops. There are many ports, including two USB Type-C ports, but no.

Thunderbolt because it’s an AMD laptop 4 USB Type-A ports HDMI 2.1, Ethernet and a headphone port, and a barrel charger that is proprietary.

The laptop is heavy beginning at 5.4lbs but isn’t exactly slimat 28.85mm in the thickness. It’s to be expected from such a powerful laptop since it can help keep things cool.

Overall, it’s an ideal laptop for people looking to play games and gaming, not just in their home but everywhere they travel. It’s not the best mobile, be it due to the weight of it or its battery life however, if you require speed then this Legion 5 Pro has it.
